While spreading seed on one of our green fields I looked up and saw a persimmon tree. I suddenly realized I was in the middle of a great sanctuary zone for deer. I immediately put up deer crossing signs to let the deer know they are now in a safe sanctuary. Time to get to work now got a lot to do before season to get the deer into the sanctuary.

Make sure you only go there for observation. I'd put a mock scrape under that persimmon just to be safe. But please don't use deer Cain! You don't want any funny stuff going on at your expense.

When I was learning how to scout for deer, my buddies told me about the awe and wonder of the persimmons. I asked what it tasted like. The grabbed the most unripe one and handed to me. I have never tasted something so bitter that my mouth felt like it was turning inside out! They got me good.

Make sure you reseed the green field every 2-3 days. I would set up one game camera per acre of sancutary. After hanging cameras you will need to hang real antlers from trees to keep dominant bucks in the area. You need to hang some observation stands and drive it about once a week as well. I'd rig up me some lights so I could see what goes on in a real sanctuary 24/7.

You have to have at least seven cameras going at all times. Make sure to wear surgical booties at all times. Duck tape a bucks hoof on a golf club to make your mock scrape look real. Plant some blueberry bushes. Thousands of em. Kill all the rabbits so your coked up deer won't chase them. Stand at the top and roll your trophy rocks off into it. If it's flat use a big sling shot

Remember that it's only a sanctuary if you go in it less than 14 times in 28 days. And you also have to wear surgical gloves and boot covers - that's very important to remember, so remember that.

My persimmons don't ever seem to drop until December. Y'all hunting them in bow season?
