Had anyone ever planted feed wheat instead of seed wheat. Where I'm at I can buy 2 bags of feed wheat for what 1 seed wheat cost. Experiences?

Feed wheat will do just fine. I don't think I've ever planted seed wheat.

All feed wheat is is non cleaned or it can be cleaned but not germ tested nor guaranteed weed seed free. You plant at your own risk but majority of the time it'll come up just fine.

Man I once leased from planted feed wheat & believe oats (once!) as well..And he ended with some kinda bad ass weeds growing in his plots. Don't remember what it was but it was some tuff shucks.

Yes and it works just as good. I planted feed wheat and oats the past 5 years I had my place and deer loved them.

The main difference is usually the germination rate. Should be fine.

It will work fine but you will introduce new weeds into your plots. You will also need to plant a little more seed due to germination rate. Up to you if you want to spend the extra money or fight the new weeds. Just my opinion and experience though. Where I am, the seed wheat is like $13 and the feed wheat $9. Not a big enough difference in cost for me.
