Ive been hunting a group of three gobblers for the past week. Unfortunately they roost extremely close to a parking area. Ive been going past this parking area with lights off and park about 400 yards away. I get there about 4:30 and up to this morning had no problems. Well this morning I get set up its still about thirty minutes before the first gobble. Well after about the tenth gobble I hear a truck flying up to the other parking area. Gobbler flies down heads straight towards in full strut when he gets about 100 yards away he takes off running the other direction. I gave him about 45 minutes and snuck up and there sits a full double archer ground HOUSE 15 yards from a WHITE pickup truck parked 70 yards from the tree the gobbler was roosted in. So I went back to my truck and headed towards another gobbler I heard further down and there he his getting out of his truck to scare him off too. THANKS BUDDY!

I feel ya...last yr (in VA) on a WMA I had been working a bird for a week. Finally on a weekday I managed to get him to come in to about 100 yds and then some @sshole cranked up a chainsaw...game over, insert token to continue....

I mean a chainsaw...really?! During spring gobbler season? On a WMA? ...it would have been my first bird ever,

Chainsaw??? Thats sounds awful.

Not really related, but I killed a turkey once that all the sudden fired off at a chainsaw some guy cranked at the foot of the mountain. I would probably have either walked past him or ran him off otherwise.

That was me ... na, just kidding.
I was out there Sunday, though, heard 2 gobbling but they were over on some private property and got henned up right off the roost.
If you happen across a white Dodge 4 door dually, that's mine.

That private property wouldn't happen to be a large cattle field would it? If so come get me next time I know the landowners.(Black Trailblazer)
