Won't have to worry about taking a pounding if he keeps only getting 13 touches for bout 145.. I do believe at some point this season they will lean on him for 25 or so carries and he def needs to stay healthy. Like you said, depth could become an issue, Drake is a multi purpose player lining up in different spots and also returning. The 3rd string guy is un proven.. Def don't wanna start eating through backs.
Bo Scarborough RB will be available to play for the Georgia game. Bo is unproven too but the talent is undeniably there. [/quote] Bo will def be nice to add back to the roster!

I'm not overly I pressed with Henry yet. He has the measurable a and speed but lacks shiftiness and doesn't run with much body lean. Sure, if the offense continues to open holes where he can run untouched he will be just fine.
Drake, appears to be the more versatile running back. I'd feed him the ball 75% of the time if he stays healthy. Drake is a college type running back where Henry is built for a long career in the NFL if he has the intangibles (discipline, motivation, intelligence, maturity, etc.) Drake's NFL future would be as a return specialist or a conversion to DB or wide out.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Straight ahead, power runners aren't doing too well in the NFL these days. You have to have that lateral quickness to be successful in'.todays game. Henry will be a monster while at Alabama, just like Richardson was. Richardson is likely to cost Henry some money in the draft, in my opinion.

Dyer and Artis-Payne et. al. would both disagree since they made the final cut as rookies. Big, durable and quick to the initial hole is what they want. Smaller won't cut it no matter how quick you are these days.

It will be interesting. On another note, it was interesting the number of freshmen that AU and UA played.

I thought that roc Thomas would put on a show yesterday, seemed like halfway thru the second quarter he disappeared and I don't think he played the rest of the game(maybe hurt? idk) About the time he left Peyton Barber 25 took over and seemed to give the running game a big boost IMO...he looked to be a good bit bigger than Roc and a lot harder to bring down to me...just curious if he might be hurt, did something wrong or just got outplayed...

I guess it wasn't the final cut or they picked up someone off waivers they liked better. Roc and Robinsons injuries are not thought to be serious, but they still might not play this Sat. against Jacksonville with LSU coming up.

Drake is not a third down back unless he has exceptional hands and is a very good blocker picking up the blitzes. The NFL is looking for a big back on third downs that can catch, block and run strong for positive yardage. This is usually the bigger guys. Why wouldn't they give Drake the opportunity to convert if that was his possibility to make the league? They did it for McCaleb and gave him two years to learn.

He has the ability to line up all over the field. Does he have the size and blocking that most RBs have, no. Look how New Orleans and Philly used Darren Sproles and that would be the ideal use for Drake in my opinion. Sproles is the RB out there on 3rd and medium-long due to his agility and pass catching ability. Not that he doesn't have the ability to convert but if taken by a NFL team it would be hard to move seeing as he has never played any other position other than RB and kick returner. This is my amateur opinion on everything and more often than not I am wrong (I did predict Cooper Bateman to look better than Coker).

Nobody is going to take a senior running back and try to convert him to a defensive back, nobody with any brains anyway.
