Planning on it. Our resident populations in Lowndes County have gotten out of hand. I've had as many as forty on my pond this summer and that is just a fraction of the birds around here. Lots of my neighbors planted corn or grain sorghum for silage and are cutting it now which makes for great places for the geese to feed. If we have some luck patterning some big flocks we should do some damage.

I have been considering trying to Goose hunt the swamp on our land (and Wood ducks) as I always hear them flying over, just not sure I would have much luck nor know much about how to go about it. Maybe this year.

I'm gonna do the lazy man goose hunt. Stick the 12 gauge in the front of the bass boat and smoke the muthas if they fly over while I'm fishing.

I've never goose hunted, but I'm tired of the mess they're leaving in my ponds and pastures. I called to ask about a nuisance permit and the region office never returned my call. In 2 weeks, it won't matter.
