Not sure where all the nice Toms went? Had plenty on camera a few week ago, suspect the neighbors been baiting hard. All I keep calling in is jakes. Well, I aint scored yet so next hunt Mr. Jake gonna get some Nitro. They eat better anyways, Ha!

I know they bait during deer season, dove season, squirrels season ect....

I'm sure they planting fields and baiting too during turkey season too, but I'm gonna try calling in their birds now. Seems like all our birds aint on us anymore. They dont talk a lot like other places I have hunted but just gone all of a sudden makes me think something is up

they arent gone. Birds just dont gobble a MAJORITY of the time of their lives.
They are pretty close mouthed this year. They are there..they just arent gobbling more then likely.

I heard ZERO gobbles yesterday and didnt see a dang hen...but I know thats there are turkeys there.

Weather, cold, rain,barometric pressure, predators, proximity of hens all effect gobbling behavior.
Some days and some years are better then the rest.

I've been known to kill a Jake or 2....my 1st was a Jake in Kansas... He acted like a big boy tho!
