I was wondering if we could do a gobbling break down by county.
Gobbling good? Only a couple times on roost? etc....
Haven't heard any gobble yet on my hunting lease in Wash. County
How about everyone else?

Heard one gobble several times opening morning in Mobile cty. Only problem was the guy across the property line did to. That bird ain't gobblin no more. I haven't heard a single one since then.

NW Montgomery County.
Shaking the ground gobbling.
Sat on top of a big hill & heard 6-8 gobbling in all directions.
Answering hoot owl.

Conecuh...heard 4 gobble yesterday morning...1 gobbled 20 or so times on the roost...the other 3 gobbled 6 times on the roost...don't know about on the ground...they flew down and 1 of them was dead 20 seconds later
I once flirted with danger...but then danger got clingy.

gobblin so much in walker county that it might register on the ricter scale....roosted some birds 2 days ago and went by this morning to spot check them for a saturday hunt with my dad

nothing in North Bibb/ South Shelby County at all yet... been all three days and nothing Went yesterday on the Cahaba WMA, nothing. Pretty morning too. Still too early to tell but I think they are a few days out from getting right.

Still too early to tell but I think they are a few days out from getting right. Went to our little tract this morning near Maplesville and didn't hear a peep.

4 yesterday, 3 shut up as soon as they hit the ground and I think every hen on the property herd the noise maker and went directly to him, he gobbled 60-70 times.
Same story today.

Went to Lowndes on Tuesday and Montgomery on Wednesday and heard no gobbles in either place. I didn't hear anything this morning either. Of course, I was home in bed but that's beside the point.  Dr. B

back in cahaba WMA this morning... roosted him last night knew which tree he was in Roosted means Roasted right? WRONG not a peep and hens gallore. took him the other way
i couldve killed him yesterday afternoon, called him and the hens to 15 steps, but a crazy "no hunt past 1:00 pm" rule let him live another day

Heard a couple in Monroe Co. this morning;only one was on our property;got between him and the hen but she came to him and shut him up;he came down a creek to us and got in a road about 60-70yds. away and sat right there till that hen made it to him,she came from behind us and flew the creek to him,can't go this evening so I'll be back in the A.M.
