A few things I think one has to keep in mind when watching the first weekend:

1. They are not the NFL, nor are they trying to be. So the quality off football will never be NFL quality.
2. They have only been practicing together for about 30 days for each team.
3. This is the first game for every team.
4. Most of these players have either:
A. Been cut by an NFL team.
B. Been undrafted by the NFL.
C. In some cases never even played on this level of football before. (Such as Rugby players, Aussie Rules, etc...)

I like some of the innovations of the new league such as the sound the way you hear the QB and the coach, and the TV coverage is pretty good.

True. I mean I wasn't basing it off of NFL level performance or anything. I just turned it on in the third quarter and Birmingham coughed it up three times in a row and the QB looked like he couldn't throw it in the ocean. He finally did throw one pretty long ball that the receiver clearly dropped and they reviewed it and upheld it as a catch which pretty much caused me to change the channel.

I know one thing.... I doubt Memphis wins a game, they are really bad.
