9’s will kill them inside 40 yards. I’ve witnessed some big ones shot in texas while hunting.

I’ve shot several. Killed one. $10 shell be damned. I keep a couple of triple beard shells in my pocket. If I can, I will load one of them rather than wasting the TSS. The boar that I successfully dropped spooked a turkey, so there was something immensely satisfying about ending his life
