I just received a call (gotta be a scam) from an unknown number 903-447-9884 and was given a package number and the name and phone number to call for the Publishers clearing house .
I called (385-265-4344) and the man answered, a Dave Siers which the first caller said I needed to talk to. He proceeded to tell me I would receive 5K a week for an total of 1.5 million. I could choose either a public or private award. I was having a hard time hearing him and asked if I could call him back and he said yes. Should I call him back and have some fun, or could this be for real. I signed up at the pch website on a whim, then when they wanted me to buy something I just deleted the emails I started to receive saying I needed to buy some cheap chit from them to qualify. What is Aldeers take on this???

It’s not a scam until you’ve given them $100k to release the funds. Up till that point you got nothing to worry about.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. I don’t think you can be required to make a purchase in order to enter a sweepstakes. All the legit ones I’ve seen says that you can ASK for them to enter you without making a purchase. I’m no attorney, though. This is just my observation over the years.
Wire and/or mail fraud is serious business.

So you did sign up for the sweepstakes prior to the phone call? There's got to be a way to contact them, other than the phone number someone called you from. I'd contact them.

Dont count yourself out i had a buddy win 1mil off scratch off in florida a couple years ago while visiting beach...he wasnt hurting but wasnt rich and hes still working same job as before
