With the season wrapping up I’m finally going to put together some arrows for the first time. I am not worrying about cutting at this time as I plan to simply fletch and add inserts. Where do you buy your shafts? I’m planning to get some type of gold tip 300 spines. I already have the fletching stuff, but I’ll be buying inserts.

Is Lancaster Archery as good as any? Are there really any deals to be had?

Jerry at South Shore Archery. Order online, give specs, he'll cut and square. Unless ya want really long arrows I'd cut them so you're not retuning later with shorter arrows.

I’ll check them out thanks. I have a long draw length so I think I’ll be fine. Besides, I plan to purchase a saw so I can tune them further in the future. Thanks for the tips.

No sweat. Jerry and crew spine check all the arrows so, that's an added little perk I guess. It's not required to hit a target or kill an animal though.

I still like heavy aluminum shafts and get them @ 3rivers. Just got in an order of some 165gr. Zwickeys,
some nocks and feather fletchings.
