Anyone have one? Thinking about getting one. Anybody have one? How is the trigger and accuracy? I want exceptional accuracy and the ability to adjust the trigger down to gnat fart range.

I’ve got a 455 American shoots really good with CCI MiniMags and Augila ammo. Trigger is ok but not great. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

I had the heavy barrel version. Shot real good with Eley match. Didn't like Wolf match target as much though. I never shot any thing else form it. I was able to lighten the trigger, but wasn't a simple adjustment

I have a 452 American, which is the 455 predecessor. The accuracy is match quality. I used to shoot a 22 sniper match with it, and we would shoot out to 200 yards. It is such a fine rifle, I would never get rid of it. It is nice enough to pass down to the kids and/or grandkids. I used to mainly shoot Aguila standard velocity.

The trigger is snappy. It needs a trigger job. The 5 round Magazines are all metal, and are of such quality that they would never wear out. They are a little pricey though. It is a rifle that can go from the range to the woods.

I once looked at a bull barrel 455 and I wish I had bought it.

Though not as pretty, you might look at a Ruger 10/22 LVT as well. If they still make it. I shoot one in rimfire sporter matches. It is a one hole rifle at 50 yds. Magazines are affordable and you can pop in a Kidd trigger or whatever aftermarket trigger you like. The barrel contour is almost like a bull barrel, but there is a taper.

I have a 455 or 452, can't remember which but I can swap the barrel on it and I have a heavy barrel for it as well as a Boyd's TactiCool stock. It has an amateur bedding job done in the original stock. I've never taken the time to wring it out and see what it will do.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I saw a kid almost clean a 22 sniper course with an off the shelf Browning T-bolt. I wouldn't rule one of those out either.

Probably a little more money than the 455 though.

I have one. They are great guns and don’t talk yourself out of buying it.

A YouTube video and 20 min spring change and you can have the trigger real nice!

The factory trigger isn’t bad once you adjust the creep out.

There are some bargains right now on the synthetic version and the synthetic stock is a nice quality stock unlike Ruger and savage rimfire synthetic stocks.

Be patient, spend the extra money, and buy you a gently used or new old stock 452 or 453 off of gunbroker. You will never regret it.

453 is what you really want. Mine has normal trigger set to nearly 2 lbs and the set trigger is ounces. You don't touch it until you want to shoot.

thumbup I've never owned or shot a rifle with a set trigger.
