I know lots of engineers too dumb to spell their name on a chalkboard.
I don't give a flip about leveling a truck, but I wouldn't argue that a team of engineers could build anything better than I can.

It doesn't reduce mileage. I don't like the looks of a truck, or my 4Runner, with the nose diving in the ground and the rear end jacked up. Looks like a womans vehicle to me. Do you buy vehicles you don't like the looks of or do you buy stuff you like? What's the difference?

I know a GM engineer who disagrees with you. The reason for the factory stance/rake is for better mileage due to the path of airstream traveling under the truck. Believe it or not they pay attention to this when designing them. I would rather drive a truck a team of engineers designed that way than one that some shadetree mechanic altered with a spacer and different alignment but thats me. I always get 200,000 mi. out of my trucks driving them hard.

200k? That's just when my Toyotas are getting broken in good. I have to admit i'm not real happy with them right now, though. I just replaced a cv axle and wheel bearing in my 2011 with 140k miles. That's the first money I've ever spent , outside scheduled maintenance, in over 750k miles of driving Toyota products. Dead serious. They might not be as good as they used to be. BTW, mine has a 3" lift to level it and I'm getting the exact 18mpg I was getting before the lift and an ASE certified mechanic did mine. I dunno \○/

Trucks used to be used as trucks, they were higher in the back so that when you put a full load on them the springs didn't bottom out and point you headlights at the moon. A lot of trucks now are glorified family sedan grocery getters with an extra large trunk. I bought my 1st pickup in the early 70s, I've always used them as trucks and I've been a grandpa for 25 years

That's why they make 33 flavors of ice cream. It's ok for people to like different things. Even if those things are ugly. grin

I'd rather drive a truck that doesn't get stuck. There is zero clearance with the factory stance. The only reason I put one of mine was to get a little larger tire on it and increase the clearance so I wouldn't bottom out constantly.

The mid size trucks of today are rated to pull about as much as everything made in the 70's. . The full size trucks have far , far more towing capacity. Even the half tons.

If you bottom out constantly a leveling kit is not the fix. Where you choose to drive is the problem.

It's the problem if you get a truck with street tires and can't get any bigger than a 30 inch tire on it. And hate to break it to you but I can go places where I couldn't because I have a larger tire and a 2 inch level that gave me about 4 inches of lift.
