Choctaw county is probably one of the few counties I've never hunted. Interesting article.

That area would probably have some of the least amount of light pollution if a feller was wanting to take a good telescope and look into the heavens on a good clear night.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I hunted east of there a bit along the river back in the 70's. LOTS of deer, like 50-100 in a greenfield at dark.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Have a friend who lives not far from there on top of what’s called Scott mountain, it’s the highest point south of I20 at about 530ft above sea level. There’s a lot of places a feller could get lost at in there real quick.9

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I had a thread about such a thing a while back. There were lots of suggestions from the Tennesaw Delta to Jackson County, but that place seems about as likely as anywhere else.

AKA my preferred home place in Alabama. Nothing compared to places I’ve been in eastern Montana and West Texas.

Killed most of my deer on the homepage, little west of Lavaca, My. Great, Great, surrendered at Appomattox, and walked back to Choctaw county

Scroll down a little bit more and read about Selma's shrinking population.
They actually blame it on everything except the real reason!

Our hunting camp is about two minutes from there. It’s not that far from civilization
