Sinclairs took over the Kowliga restaurant on Lake Martin for a while and the menu was so-so.. Agree, glad Russell’s took it back over. Chopped steak and gravy with onions was pretty good, But my wife always wants to sit outside and it’s too damn hot to eat it

We are staying downtown New Years eve at the Renaissance, to watch the ball drop, where besides the capitol Oyster bar should we eat? Within a couple blocks if y'all know anything good...
Preferably a good steak house....

Preferably a good steak house.... There isn't a really good steak house down there that I know of. I hear a bunch of remarks about how good Central is but my father said it was average when he went. Vintage Year isn't too far from downtown and was consistently good but it's been years since I've been.

Montgomery needs a Ruths Chris in the worst way Ruth’s Chris and PF Change have had plans to open in Montgomery but backed out due to the previous Sunday alcohol sales restrictions. I haven’t heard anything more about it since the city changed the policy

If you like pizza and Craft beer check out pies and pints. I also recommend Sa zas Italian downtown. I don’t know about kids menus for either of these places these are just the 2 restaurants that I highly recommend. New Bibb street pizza downtown food for pizza and beer yoo

If your staying in downtown Montgomery get on I-65 north. Go 3 exits to the Cobbs Ford Rd. Prattville exit. (8 miles). Hang a right, go down the hill and you will see The Catfish House on the left. You can get there quicker from downtown than going most places in Montgomery and its some good eatn. You need to get there early though because it is usually packed.

Just sayin selling a cold beer wouldn’t hurt anything)
