I’m hearing good things about the battery powered pole saws.

The only thing that worries me about these new electric tools is that they will go to a new battery setup every 5 or so years and cause you to buy all new. They do it with drills all the time.

I have a year old weed eater, so it won't be replaced anytime soon. However, I bought the EGO mower, hedge trimmer and pole saw that operate off the same battery. I LOVE it! I no longer have to mess with gas except for my weed eater. When it dies, I will buy the EGO weed eater too.

Over a 5 year period is should be a wash between buying a battery and what you spend on repairs, gas, and oil.

Walmart is clearing them out right now. Picked up a trimmer and chainsaw, they each came with a charger and battery. You can use the same attachments that you use with the gas powered weed eater. Haven't used them yet so idk if they are any good or not

I just read about the Kobalt pole saw and weedeater and they have a PILE of negative reviews about their batteries. I will look elsewhere.

I've got a 40v kobalt blower and weedeater. Battery life is fair. One of my batteries died in warranty. On the blower it said no questions asked battery replacement. Mine had a date code that was in warranty. Took an act of Congress to get it replaced. Was just short of asking to see the manager. Weedeater says you have to have receipt. So keep it handy. Lady at lowes culdnt understand battery came with a blower. Tried to look it up where I paid with my lowes card. Told her date I bought it. She says I don't see where you bought it. All I see is a blower....well duh.

But Battery Source will continue to rebuild them and the chargers.
I make a trip to Taylor Road, about once a year to exchange batteries.
