$2k doesn’t seem bad at all for everything that needs to be fixed there. My MIL had hers changed out (just disconnecting existing and requiring new) for $800. I sold her the material at my cost, so that $800 was labor only

Very similar job done by licensed and insured contractor on Monday in Hartselle. Cost 1k for new box, wire, weatherhead, and breakers. They cleaned up and did a nice job.

Let me know if you want their name. I dont know if they go to Haleyville.

haleyville al,
Thanks guys. I feel a little better now. The guy is licensed and insured. I had some folks telling me that was way to much. But I thought it was on track. Just needed reassurance. Lol

But that's still a $2000 job easy.

I was going to say the same thing. A lot of times we will give a customer a new meter base when they are doing repairs like that.

haleyville al,
Yep already have my base. I have a buddy that is a engineer at Alabama power. He stopped by when we were cleaning up the yard. He told me to go by the office and get a base. Also told me he wasn't going to look at anything judging by what the meter box looks like he didn't want to see the rest. Lol
