Well, I just went back and read the fine print. It does say 300 mbps, but the fine print says $39.00 EACH. So, tv is $39.00 AND internet is another $39.00.

I can only get 10mbps at my house and speed tests routinely show it between 7-9. That is plenty for me to stream HD movies on my Firestick or Netflix. I've seen it bog a time or two if I'm streaming in the living room and my daughter is streaming in her room, but it's barely noticeable.

I have Spectrum and speed is great and it is only down during bad storms or a wreck. I have no complaints about the service, but I promise you I pay way more than $39 a month. It used to be that when your contract was about to end you could call them and renegotiate. They don't do that anymore apparently. I've tried a couple of times. Our problem though here in Selma is we really don't have another feasible option. I've heard too many horror stories about Dish.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I get 100-110mbps with spectrum. I also have the tv hardwired to the router so it doesn’t take up bandwidth.

Say what?

If you plug an Ethernet cable from your router into your streaming device, you free up more bandwidth for the rest of your devices.

I guess it's all relative. If I could get 50 Mbps, I would be in high cotton. I can only imagine what 300 Mbps would be like.

I would love to have 50 Mbps the 7-10 I get is a PIA, Where I live it's all I can get...

No.

Your bandwidth or pipe is what the provider allows you, regardless if it is a wired or wireless connection coming from your router.

Excuse me for not using the correct terminology. My streaming device is wired to my router so it doesn’t slow down my other devices.

X2, cost less and most streaming packages are not a contract so you can cancel anytime.

I have 50 mpbs up and down, I run a mesh system and love it.

I have DSL and I get .5 upload and 3 to 4 download. Most internet providers give you about 1/3 of what they actually "sell you." I am not sure why they haven't all been sued for false advertising. I just wish they would be honest and say here's what you are going to get.....no lies, no smoke and mirrors. It's going to vary a little due to traffice, but mine is never more than 1/3 of what I pay for.

The chances you would see a speed difference is beyond tiny. Read this, it might make a little more sense why, but the reality is in your house you could probably stream 10 tvs wirelessly if the wireless signal is good without noticing any issue.

I guess I have a weird system, because I can definitely tell a difference. I tested my speed last night from my phone with the tv not wired and got 90mbps. Then I tested it with the tv wired and got 110mpbs. It also doesn’t take nearly as long for tv to load stuff.
