Just a heads up. I ate at Captain Daves in Destin the last two nights and three other times in the past year and I am yet to have anything that was not excellent. The crab claws are awesome, Snapper Jane and Parmesean Stuffed Shrimp, Fried Shrimp, Steak all have been excellent! Go at 5 and you wont have to wait from my experience.

I never have tried that place. We usually just buy some fish from skippers and cook ourselves, but next time I'm down that way I'll convince the wife to give it a shot.

The south bound traffic on 331 this afternoon was lousy at best, both south lanes were almost bumper to bumper at 70+ mph.. I really don't know where they put all the cars in the south end. Just wait till the 4th, they think that damn water hole is drying up.

Buster's Oyster Bar is good, too, especially when you catch their specials on oysters! Go early, though, almost always crowded.

My Niece is married to a Chef, he owns Cuvee Bistro30A. Pretty high end, small portion kind of place. That dude can cook though, he does tv and all that. Jerry Johnson sent a jet to pick up a pot of Collard greens for thanksgiving if that tells you anything.

His filet is ridiculous!! Its one of the best I ever tried with the fried lobster tail in top. Mercy

Just got back today from a week stay a few hundred yards from there didn’t try it though.
I did have Pompano Joes, usually do once on a destin trip.
Its about the same distance as Captain Daves I will try the next time we visit
I like the food selection at Panama City much better
