Live from the garage. Momma Cat liked her cedar shutters so much I earned a new project. So I'm tinkering in the garage today. First one cut and in process. Rough cedar. Basic design.

Now make some bluebird boxes from some of that WRC... Also, WRC is very, very soft wood. Depending on how much weight momma cat plans to put in the box, you might want to add some extra screws on the ends. Long screws too.

I'm going to use brackets which will support the under side of the boxes. Using a sleeve through the cedar so rear anchors will not pull out. Wife is going to use clay pots for seasonal flowers and the rest will be high quality fake greenery (ivy and such) with some decorative accent pieces inside the boxes. Stain is on.

Installing this afternoon. Did some "aisle engineering" at Home Depot earlier....you know, stand there thinking and muttering to yourself, ciphering, and formulating the plan in the aisle. Brackets attached with tapcons through a sleeve, hidden on backside. Bay window and another one on far right. Time for a nap.
