School Shooting

Maybe, maybe not. The dang media will call a shot fired across the road from a school a 'school shooting'; I'll wait for the details.

Have they caught the offending firearm yet?

I've been watching Fox since about 6:30 this morning and while the school shooting and the Fed Ex bomb have been on continuously, but not one dang word about the weather in north Alabama.

Sounds like an actual incident according to the St. Mary's County Public School reports. No clear view on what has actually transpired. Some of the locat stations are reporting injuries but none of that is comnfirmed. Prayers for all concerned.

I notice that too. The Weather Channel was all over the North Alabama weather.

Wonder who the next overnight celebrity shooter will be this time? The media keeps this stuff so hyped up its gonna continue to happen as long as we keep making the shooters famous. Anyone ever seen the movie natural born killers its a crazy ass movie but its about two mass muderers glorified by the mass media. Alot of crazy subliminal messages in it. Pretty much the media created them by giving them the attention they were after.

Good guy with a gun (school resource officer) wounded shooter before he went on a killing spree.

The government needs to post 2 armed guards per school, plus allow all willing teachers, coaches, or employees to carry concealed if they wish to do so and can also meet a standard proficiency.

2 students wounded Shooter shot at by resourse officer. Not certain if round struck him. It probably would have been lots worse if the armed guard had not taken action. He's a hero.

Yes, no doubt. And this is EXACTLY why we need armed officers and some armed administrators at every school.

We dont have a gun problem,..we have a definite problem with "kids" these days.

No one ever went around shooting up schools when I was young. And there were a lot of weapons at schools...we all hunted either some ams before school, or went after school .

Most of us had guns ( shotguns and or rifles) in our cars and trucks. NOONE ever got into a beef and decided to go grab one.

Also, we had M1 carbines at the farm, with 10, 20 and even 30 round mags. We had 2 M1 Garrands as well...which were very accurate rifles. We never took them to school...or went on rampages with them killing our classmates.

I blame that on society, single parent households, violence of TV and video games...YES video games.

I know some dont like to hear that,..especially younger guys..but we had freaking PONG and space invaders..not Call of Duty where you pick out weapons, customize them and then use them in a gaming format to shoot other people.

And before the young guys start to argue..I play COD as my son did too and we played together. But it IS part of the problem..denying it is denying reality. It desensitizes these kids to actual killing..they think it is like a game IMO.

Also, almost all these kids doing these shootings are on meds. There is a big reason for the problem. Heck, it says on the side effects that is one of the things that can happen. We need to look at the drugs these kids are beinng given.

And I think we need freaking KID control. They cant be disciplined at school or the police come, and they cant be disciplined at home or police or lawsuits in some cases.

You let the dang kids think there are no consequences for their actions and this is what happens.

Now these same kids are marching and demanding gun control....they ARE the ONES needing control. Not guns...we all had em and we didnt go acting like completes psychos like kids today are.

This will just go away quietly. Doesn't fit the liberal agenda or narrative. Nothing to see here , move along.

Not news worthy, no evil black gun involved. Ended the way it should with center mass shots fired by an ex-swat resource officer.

Good job by the resource officer... now let's get more with good gun training in the schools.

Anybody find it just a little bit strange how in this case, where the shooter was killed by the resource officer, there has been almost no TV/media coverage. They were all over it when it first came out that there was a shooting at the Maryland school with injured kids and every single channel was running live updates at least every 5 minutes. Once, the actual facts came out that the resource officer engaged the shooter immediately and terminated the threat.........basically nothing but crickets from the mainstream media since that point in time.

I just looked at both the CNN and MSNBC websites and neither one even has an article up about the Maryland shooting. Yet both have fresh articles up today interviewing liberal students only and talking about the Marjory Stoneman School shooting from Broward County that happened a month ago.

If you think that the media is not completely complicit in all the liberal BS that is going on in todays society or even remotely covers things from an honest and fair perspective, you've got to be an idiot. Every article written now days has to have some political slant promoting some liberal/progressive talking point or current agenda item.

Abolt, remember the outrage after the Fl School shooting when the NRA spokeslady, stated the Media loves dead bodies and weeping mothers. Kinda looks like she nailed it. They didn't get that and the media failed to show up!

If I could bear dealing with all of the stupidity and thought they were actually teachable, I would register on some of the gun free kind of websites/forums and have some fun toying with their heads. In my personal one on one conversations with those kind of people, without exception they have no clue at all about actual facts concerning guns and/or gun control. I drop only a few actual facts vs. the bullschitt spewed in the media and they are at a loss for words. I can't even engage in a GOOD argument with them for that reason. Show them a few stats and they shut up because they don't know how to defend their position without pure emotion.

I keep seeing people post this. But, it has incorrect information. There is no federal law prohibiting possession of a handgun by someone under 21. Why can no one on either side get things correct? There is always miss information or something wrong when someone starts sharing someone else’s witty little Facebook meme.
