Shouldn’t you be speaking to Law enforcement about this?

PCamp, I can tell you. Often the Police can't find their azzes with both hands. Sometimes you have to present the info to them. I did it, and of course became a suspect too. In the end, it may be the only way to catch a thief!

Wrecker shows up and wife is demanding not to take it. Wrecker tells cop its ok man, we will get the next one. Cop is pissed and still arguing with wife. He says u cant leave it in dr parkin lot. Wife asks dr and they say its fine to leave it and she tells cop. He tells her...maam idk why u gotta be difficult? I show up and tell cop hey im takin kid to school and will be back in 10 min to load car on trailer. He wouldnt even roll his window down enough. He said fine i dont care if u leave it there forever! He waited to see if we cane back. I came back 10 min later and drove car home for repairs. He was so pissed. He towed the other car for a scratched bumper. You know what this sounds like? This sounds like the police officer and/or officers are in cahoots with the wrecker to pick up any vehicles and then split the costs or something. Note the bold passages (my bold) above. WTF is a police officer mad about AND continues to argue about if someone says they don't want/need a wrecker and their husband or someone else is coming for it. The officer called a wrecker that quickly and then was upset that it wasn't handled the way HE wanted/demanded/expected it to be handled? That's fishy IMO. Kickback fishy.

Its amazing how some police are crazy. My wife wrecks her car last week. Cop asks do u need wrecker...she says no my husband is comin. Cop drives her car to a parkin lot. Cop leaves and tells replacement cop that no wrecker is wanted. She hears it. 2nd cop says wrecker is on way. Wife says no and i told 1st cop no wrecker. Call and cancel it. He says maam ur car is totalled. It needs a wrecker and aint worth fixin. They argue. I thought, that guy has the power to put folks in jail? Pathetic. Its scary how some are crazy. Some act like they hate everyone too. Some are awesome. But that pissed me off that day. I almost had to pay a 200 dollar tow and yard bill for no reason. Just because a cop was hell bent on towing her car for no reason. Weird. He is getting a kick back from the wrecker service

Guarantee you they're splitting the towing cost.

And if he's that angry because someone said she didn't need a wrecker then he has some serious f'king issues and needs mental help.

The cop is getting kickback on how many cars he gets towed. wrecker company ain't splitting anything. They are bloodsuckers too. In many places they will run over your azz to beat the competition to a wreck.

Usually wrecker companies are on rotation with PD. Or set location call. I had to actually unhook a wrecker from my truck once. Cops said he called for a tow. Told him I didn't need one. Saw a wrecker pull up as I was filling out report, damn driver had grabbed my truck. Me and that dude bout got to rumble. I got hooks off the he handed me a bill. LOL Threw it back in his face.

It is illegal to run a license plate check on someone else, regardless of the circumstances. Only a member of law enforcement can run a license plate or lookup license plate numbers to find vehicle owner information. And law enforcement cannot just run a random license plate number to get information for someone.

Thats what we thought too. The first cop seemed normal but not the 2nd cop. I mean he was pissed. The witnesses even noticed it. She had a crowd watching it unfold. This was actually huntsville city police. We live in madison county now instead of Morgan county. The cop always wears a black toboggan or beanie. Skinny guy. I see him around here and he always has that boggan on. This happened at lilly flag drive and whitesburg intersection so watch out for that guy if yall have to deal with him . Was the officers last name Potter?

Exactly. But with so much info on the web, I was hoping to find some public information. It is illegal to run a license plate check on someone else, regardless of the circumstances. Only a member of law enforcement can run a license plate or lookup license plate numbers to find vehicle owner information. And law enforcement cannot just run a random license plate number to get information for someone.

It is not illegal to get plate information from the courthouse if they will give it to you. Some places consider it public information and will provide it with a Freedom of Information Act request or a subpoena. Most, however, will tell you they can't do it and won't fool with it. That is my understanding anyways. Of course I never had to get the info from a courthouse.
It is illegal for a LEO to use their computers, either through LETS or the dispatchers, to obtain this information for any purpose other than law enforcement.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
