Just curious of how some of you guys know what to get your kids for Christmas. My 6 year old son never would come out and say what he wants

Remote controlled car, bike, whatever sports he might be interested in gear - something to keep him interested in playing outside.

We never told our kids they were supposed to ask for things. We keep Christmas and Birthdays and Easter and Valentines etc.. small so they dont expect much. I like the idea above of getting gifts that encourage activity. Im not a fan of the video games and computer stuff that keep them staring at a screen. (I know there is a lot of value in being good with computers and electronics, but I think a lot of kids go overboard with it)

Eli is a gun nut of a kid so that was pretty easy and dwayne is 18 so he wants stuff for his truck. Pretty simple for us.

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

If I had to buy Christmas presents I'd never get any hunting done.

Im more concerned about finding the wife a Christmas present. I always feel inept in that Dept.

My 8 year old is getting a cricket rifle. My 6 year old is autistic and is getting a butt load of trains to go with his butt load of trains.

6 is easy and fun. Wait until they are 17 and 21 and already have pretty much everything and their tech knowledge is much greater than yours.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
