Good win for the Fighting Skinny's

Troy was very impressive this season. Quite a year. Unfortunately for them they bombed against USA after the big LSU win. The bad loss after the big win is what people tend to remember, but 11-2 is nothing to overlook. I have a friend that becomes livid that AU and AL won't play them. I have to remind him that is a badge of respect for them.

Any of ya'll remember when Sim Byrd was the QB at Troy, must have been in the early 70's. They were NC a couple of years.

Great season overall for Troy, I like Coach Brown and the AD very much. Wish them nothing but success

AL and AU have nothing to gain by playing Troy, in fact, just playing Troy means that they lose potential recruits regardless of if they win or lose.
LSU has lost a lot of recruits to their local home schools just by being nice and playing them to keep that money in-state.

And yeh, the bomb against USA was bad, that was a bad week on campus in general. No excuse for that one.
The loss to Boise was pretty much rigged. Troy got off the plane in the mountains with 4 hours only to prep before kickoff. They only beat us by 6 but our guys were gassed from the start of the game with no time to adjust to the mountain low O2 air.

I'm pretty sure our coach will get a phat offer from another school come Monday.

I think you'll be ok for another year, Skinny. I don't think there's any larger schools with a head coach opening right now.
