A man and his wife were fishing a brushpile. Another boat pulled up and demanded they leave. that's when the fireworks began. It resulted i The guy tat was fishing peacefully ending up in jail. The one that started the ruckus got a $750 ticket for harassment. I have seen this same scenario played out on several lakes in Alabama. It has bled over to tournament weigh in's too. Be careful out there. I occurs often on Logan Martin. This particluar case happened on T-Bend.

If someone pulls a gun for any reason other than defending thenselves, they need to go to jail. I'm retired military, if I pull a gun on you I'm planning on shooting you. As soon as he pulled that gun the other guy would have been within his rights to defend themselves. It's getting crazy out there. I am very pro gun and believe everyone that has never been convicted of a violent act should carry, but know when to pull it out.

I stick my pistol in my boat every time I fish. But it's not why you think.
I don't want some thug to get it if my window gets knocked out at the ramp.
I ain't getting in a gunfight over a dang fish.
There's been some thuggery at ramps around Gville. They targeting spare tires on boat trailers.

If the guy really was running his boat around the couple within inches of their boat - I would not convict him is I was on his jury.

Use of a vehicle in that manner is grounds to defend yourself and your wife with whatever means necessary.

Friend of my dads dad had same thing happen to him on the Warrior many years ago. About the third pass around them he emptied a 1911 into their boat hull. Harrassment stopped. Problem solved.

One may get away with some chitt bothering me, but if my wife is with me she is going to whip yer ass or shoot you.

I broke my rule (don't fish on the weekends) and fished Honeycomb Sunday afternoon.
It was like trying to fish from a mechanical bull.
I know why they call em "wakeboats" now. They throw a heck of a wave.

Was fishing one time at one of the oak Mtn lakes. We were on the bank and I was trying to get my small daughter to catch some bream for fun. So our lines are in the water in front of us when these two asp holes in a boat drift around the bank and throw their lures at our feet. I questioned their bloodline and heritage right then. One guy said Did you hear him to the other one? I said come on the bank and you'll hear it a lot better. They left quickly as I was tying on a heavy crankbait to hit him with. I hate people like that, whole lake and he has to fish at my feet.

This happened to my nephew. Fishing from bank, tied into a couple good bass. Two guys in a bass boat fishing the "bent pole" pattern came in and started throwing right at his feet. He started chunking riprap rocks at them.

Had this happen to me on Ray Roberts. I just happened to find a nice brush pile off a railroad trestle bridge. I fishing it one day and some guy comes up and demands that I leave. No weapons were involved, and I didn't pull up anchor either. I did pull out my cell phone and take his picture and got his hull id. Told him the GW would be more than happy to explain Texas law to him.

I'm not surprised at anything that happens on the La side of T-bend. Years ago there were several boats that got robbed while bass fishing. Guys in Alum boat would pull guns and take everything they had leaving them stranded. You can't go without batteries or a gas tank if you had one. The took tackle, depth finders, personal things(cash, wallets, watches, rings) It went on for a year. I don't know if they ever got caught.

Had a guy try to run me off a weed bed on lake Tuscaloosa back a couple months ago he finally got really aggravated and left when he saw I wasn't budging. I always keep a handgun and a shotgun in my boat

I don't carry guns. Guns are bad.

It's not safe for You Mark. Hell you can't carry lures without hooking yourself! rofl If you are an avid fisherman, hooks will find you. I can't count the times I've been hooked by other fishermen or fish.

I put my boat up at the end of May. I get it serviced and get all my reels worked and spooled. I get it back out about mid-Sept. It's just not worth the hassle.
