Kids say the darnedest things.

My oldest twin and middle child of three is absolutely hilarious quick witted and cracks us up on a regular basis. The latest occurred yesterday, she was staying with a friend and the other mom told my wife the conversation she overheard.

Apparently my daughter told her friend "My Dad is an orphan he came down from outer space and was sent here specifically to be her dad."

Funny coming from a 4 year old.

I took my then four year old grandson every morning to feed the chickens and gather the eggs. On day on the walk back to the house he nonchalantly says "those chickens don't like it when you grab the eggs out of their butts".....dang, it was hard not to laugh out loud.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

My oldest grandson likes to go with me to feed the animals and collect eggs every day, too. When he was about 4, he lifted the lid on the laying boxes one day to about half a dozen eggs and asked "Where do they keep finding them all?"

We were getting ready to run some errands one Saturday, so I got the kids ready while my wife got ready since it doesn't take me near as long to get ready. My three year old comes waliking out of the bathroom and wife says Noa you're so cute, without missing a beat Noa responds I'm not cute I'm awesome!

I have an aunt that taught first grade for several years at Brandon in Florence. They ended each year with a picnic. One year, a little girl was walking with her mother. They went around a tree and saw little Johnny peeing. The girl looked up and said "Oohhh, mother. What a handy gadget to take on a picnic."

I was driving my 8 year old daughter and one of her friends home from soccer practice at the Vestavia soccer club in Birmingham a few weeks back. One of their practice facilities is close to the back side of liberty park off sicard hollow road and I usually see a lot of deer driving through there. I said girls yall look we might see some deer , Addison Says " Samantha you know I killed my first deer this year?" Samantha said " why would you want to shoot a deer they are so pretty? " Addison says " Girl God put those deer here for us to kill and eat! Don't you know where hamburgers and chili come from ?" I was crying in the front seat!

True story:

Large church, 2,000 or so in attendance, + tv, Easter morning. Children's minute.

Pastor says to little girl "what a beautiful Easter dress you have on"

{puts microphone in little girls face}

Little girl: "yeah, but my mom says it's a real bitch to iron"

Taking the kiddos to a basketball game a couple of weeks ago and my daughter started talking about the solar system cause they were studying it in science class. She said the sun was a big ball made up of hot gasses, little man looked at her and said....so, if I poot will the sun come up?

Long time ago my youngest brother was sitting in my mom's lap.he snuggled up to her and with loving eye's looks at mom and said mom you're as soft as a cow. He's 30 now and that still gets brought up .
