Apparently he sent out an order to gut the program and to weaken it so it will be easier to fix it.

I will be so thrilled when I can hire part-time employees to work a full week instead of just 19 hours a week. They will be thrilled too because that means they can actually work into true overtime hours and only have to get one job instead of three.

And the penalties are gone. That's a tax break in itself.

If he'll do something to lower the tax burden on small businesses I'll take of work in 4 years to be his campaign adviser. It's bad when there is really no benefit for a small business to be profitable. You've either got to make enough money that paying taxes is just an inconvenience or don't make any. There is no middle ground.

Will all the hidden taxes that were placed on everything go away also?

He's done all he can but he can't end any of the ACA by himself. His order just instructs his Health and Human Services Secretary that they can grant blanket immunity to anyone choosing not to have insurance. That was already legal for the previous administration but they were never going to use that power. Also, if the individual mandate is done away with then you are going to see premiums skyrocket more than they already have unless congress goes with a full repeal and replace, which they don't want to do. The republican congress campaigned on repeal and replace but they had no intention of doing it because they are beholden to big money donors that are benefiting from the ACA. I'm hoping what Trump signed was a message to them that they better do their job and get repeal and replace moving or they are going to watch the whole system collapse. If he did it for that reason he's already doing more than I thought he would. Unless congress and his HHS Secretary fall in line that executive order won't do anything.

Like Bill said, Trump is greatly limited by the action (or non-action) of Congress. It doesn't matter how badly that he might personally want to accomplish a particular thing, if the worthless Congress does not act, he is hamstrung. Will be interesting to see how much of his soul he is willing to sell to the career politicians in order to achieve some of his goals as President.

Papa I think it's gonna be more interesting to watch President Trump man handle the lazy worthless politicians. I can see him making his case to the people that certain ones are hampering the
course the voters laid out when WE put him in office. I can see
many careers ended when they come up for re-election. Especially those not wanting term limits. Both speakers need a one way ticket home.

Once Trump starts tweeting specific politicians names as not working with him it will start getting hot with them.
