Here in west central Alabama, the most I've ever noticed in compensating is 3 yards. This was inside 30 yards and that's not necessarily enough to make you miss a deer sized vital area. If I rifle hunted in the steep mountains I'd have one... I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing.
