Hash = cheap, quick, good eating ! I rarely eat it outside of hunting season , but if I do you can bet it's with eggs and cheese !

Had some for breakfast in a diner in PA this week. It was home fries topped with hash, topped with cheddar cheese, topped with 2 eggs over easy!! If you were in Pennsylvania, did you have corned beef hash or was it scrapple? Friend of mine from there loves scrapple. Pig 'trimmings' and parts turned into mush mixed with cornmeal, flour and spices into a loaf. Sorta like minced souse, I guess. Sounds like catfish bait for a slat box. No it was hash. They did have scrapple on the menu though.
