I hate that. Any possibility it will come back from the roots?
As a side note, I have lost a LOT of shrubbery around my house. Some complete kills and a whole lot of burn backs. With the exception of some green leaves at the bottoms, my tea olives look like they've been sprayed with agent orange.
I think both of my fig bushes are dead too.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I hate you cut it down were any of the branches still green on the inside? If so it wasn't dead. If the leafs drop they are usually just in stress and will put back out but if they hold leafs there dead.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I think both of my fig bushes are dead too. I don't know Fur. I left the stump to see but the tree may have ran its course. Up until three years ago the tree produce over or around a thousand pieces of grape fruit annually. Dropped down to around 500 two years ago and less than 120 when I picked it in early December. I talked to some citrus farmers in Lakeland Florida area and they told me it wasn't uncommon for a tree to bear fruit for as long as fifty years or longer in the right climate of course. So I guess having it in Montgomery for twenty five wasn't bad.
