This picture was sent to me today by a friend that traps. These are his and a friend of his. They were taking them to somewhere in Mississippi today to sell or ship to an auction. I was impressed by the number of them.

That's awesome. They've got a lot of time invested to have been that successful

They definitely had a good season! I'd seen their pic on another website and they've for sure put some work into furs!

Hank what would you say that pile of fur would be worth once they sold it? I'm not familiar with fur prices these days

Cole I'm not sure what they'll get for it put up and sent to NAFA but just looking at what they have and going by the last NAFA auction averages I'd say around $3,500. It's really a shame and I hope they do better and earn more because there's a lot of work involved in catching, cleaning and drying that much fur!

Could b wrong but with all the reds, and only one grey fox that I can see, plus the barn style, I would say that pic was taken quite a few miles north of Mississippi!!!

Both guys are from North Alabama! Pretty sure that's where they trapped them at!

I caught as many reds as I did greys this year so maybe they're making a comeback!
