Oh, they are out there. Fact. Those 12 lb black tom cats are everywhere.

All you have to do to make me believe there are big black cats in AL is simply get a legit trail cam pic of one! That shouldn't be too much to ask since it's possible to get pics of all the other animals in the woods. Until then (and it ain't gonna happen) I'm calling BS on every confused individual that says they have seen one.

Better yet...just shoot the "big black cat" and become instantly famous! That feat would rival capturing Bigfoot or a Unicorn, b/c they don't exist either

me and my brother in law would disagree . there was one that was 100 to 125 lbs in chambers back in 78 hard not to notice it at around 2:3o on a sunny day at 5 and 20yards coming out of a push up pile.

Frankie, I know honest people that believe they have seen one too. I'm not going to.laugh at you, because human eyes and brains can see a lot of things that aren't reality. I know you saw something. I just don't believe it was a big black cat. There has never been an ounce of undeniable evidence provided to prove the existence of a large black cat in North America. Bring the evidence, and you'll change history.

i know this i'll remember that belly fat swaying till i die . there was no mistake . i believe it was a a pet that got loose . the ground had just been cleared for pasture and the piles were going to be burned .

to add ,,, there are a heap of black cats in the usa just maybe not black cougars .

Frankie- Don't take it personal... I wouldn't believe my mom if she said she saw a black panther! However I would believe she "thought" she saw a black panther. It's just hard to see something that doesn't exist.

There are melanistic Jaguars and Leopards. I've seen them at the fair...lol.

i've seen five as pets . two in alabama years back . hell the guy just down the road had two loins tied out on leather collars . one got loose and killed his wife . soooooooooo ,,,, lol

We saw so many I decided to put up a trail cam and got this one the first night.

Then after that, I decided to go and try to get some better pics with my SLR camera and I had this one come right in to a Clorox Stump.


It's amazing how many of these rare black cats there are in Alabama.
