outdoorobsession OP Unregistered O	Hey guys..my wife and I are looking to go to the beach for a week. Im 52..shes 49. We wont have our son with us as hes in college. We will have 2 dogs with us possibly if we can find a place that takes pets. I like to fish. We want to be on the beach , bay or lagoon preferably. We want to be fairly close to resturant choices without driving too far. ( Fort Morgan where we stayed before was a drive to resturants) What are your recommendations?

It doesn't get all of the crazy tourist traffic like PCB, OB and Destin but still have all of the things to love about the beach. Plenty of good restaurants, fishing, beautiful beaches...

They have 2-3 lakes around the golf course you can bass fish in and catch good bass. If you don't want to pay high condo rates I would suggest staying in their town homes around the resort. We book from a guy out of Birmingham each year. His website is Seascapeholiday or something.

There aren't very many places to eat right there, pretty much Coneheads is the only place right on the cape. Indian Pass is not far, nor is Triple Tails. A little further to Port St Joe. I am not much on eating out, so it is perfect for me. We usually cook out most of the trip, and only visit a restaurant 1 or 2 times. OF all the places to eat, my favorite is Indian Pass Raw Bar To me though, it's worth it. Last time I went we stayed on the bay side, and this is what we awoke to each morning.
