BOFF OP Booner Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 10,053 Northport, Al.	Just an FYI, apparently they can unintentionally discharge due to an excessive amount of bonding agent. It's only those two models with XMP triggers manufactured from May 1, 2006-April 9, 2014. May be a repost, I didn't search. Remington Recall God Bless, David B. A buddy was getting a rem700 outta his truck bout a month ago and it went off.Shot through the truck door,through the outside wall of the house and through a friends ankle sitting on the couch.He had to have pins and rods put in his foot and they even mentioned amputation at one point.Hes gonna be fine just a long road to get back to normal.I got a rem700 i need to replace the trigger in i guess.

timbercruiser Freak of Nature T Joined: May 2011 Posts: 20,017 PDL, Fl	I have one of the old 1960's model 700's, the ones you have to have it off safety to unload. I ask a gunsmith about changing the trigger assembly out and he didn't want to do it for some reason.
