Had one of these pass me on the way home today. Never had seen one before. Looked pretty sweet. Sounded good, too. Anybody know anything about them?

Could have been at our church today, as we had a car show.
Around 207 entries I believe. Had some good looking cars and trucks there today. Most of the cars/trucks left around 2:00 pm.

Was it gray in color?

God Bless,
David B.

No. It looked just like the one in the pic I posted.

They live south of Tuscaloosa. I see it all the time. It is a nice car but I believe it is a kit car.

My Dad had his old vehicle over there today. A yellow 1953 GMC.

These were coupes built out of (used the frame) AC Cobras. There were only 6 originals known to have been made. Several manufacturers make the kits. They range from about 18k for a bare bones kit to about 28k for everything you need except a motor and trans. They use the running gear out of SN95 series Mustangs.

Originals are unobtainum! Millions and only 2 survivors IIRC.
I see a kit car like this one every year at Barber during the Indy event.
And by the way is next weekend!

All of them have survived from what I have gathered, but one was wrecked at Laguna Seca in 2012. The one belonging to Phil Spector was found in a storage shed in the early 2000s after the elderly woman who owned it committed suicide.

The one at Barbers is the one they are talking about. It always parks in the car corral.
