Getting back to another subject. I have never heard cheerleaders called goodie goodie until today. They weren't when I was growing up.

Well ill be the first to say that we hunt "too much". I spend hours working on fields and houses, and then hour after hour sitting in a shooting house waiting on a deer. It beats a lot of things me, my wife, and kids could be doing though. Keeps us all out of trouble and together more. I look at baseball and football the same way. Plus I really am reliving my childhood. When im at the park I feel like I'm 13 again. Love it for about 2 months and then it's over.

Cheerleaders?...goodie, goodie?...Every place is different, but ours in HS were pin cushions...Go watch all the cheerleader movies, see how they're portrayed...

Wut? Do you have a point you're making? Alright, I'm going to type slowly so you can keep up... The comment about girls being dykes came from two sentences written in a large paragraph about how consumed parents are with youth baseball. My bad, it was in bad taste, and wasn't what I have a beef with. It wasn't the primary topic I wanted to continue pissing and moaning about for two pages! Move on, it doesn't matter that much to me. For that matter, I don't have a serious beef with any of this, I'm just expressing something I observe that perplexes me. There's a lot of people that spend a lot of time at the ballpark. And while there's a lot of people that spend a lot of time doing innumerable other things, those same adults don't act that way about anything else. Here is the quote from the original poster: "this is our first year playing baseball. how much time do yall spend at the field? last Saturday we left the house at 8a.m. got home at 930p.m. and tomorrow we have another tourney. 7 year olds playing 4 or more games in one day." He's expressing what I'm talking about. That is abnormal behavior from sane folks. I don't care if your kid is a homerun beast. I don't care if your daughter is a split-lickin dyke. I got my opinions about it, but arguing opinions aren't going to change anybody else's opinion. None of that is my point. THE point, plain and simple, is that normal folks with sane worldviews don't spend entire lives at the flippin' baseball field. That is a problem with our society, we are given over to it.

I'll just say this... If you want to know a man's idol, find out what's not funny to him. People will angrily defend baseball/teeball/softball like no other.

The ladies in my office can't wait to get out of here every evening to take their kids to ball practice! Little bitty kids, coach-pitch stuff! They show each other (and me) cell phone video of their kid getting a hit yesterday. It's raining here today, so they were complaining a few minutes ago that they'll probably call the games off. This is NOT the kids talking!!!!!..it's the parents. This is a societal problem, because it's not just a tiny subset of your communities, it's the majority. .

You have your opinion and I respect that whether I agree with it or not. You say youth baseball is a societal problem. I disagree.
