They have a website but it never seems active. I hunted the private land just inside against the WMA for a few years. So I looked em up. Never called them. Met a few of the guys though. Seemed okay.

I am a member. I think we are full for the year already. We have meeting on the 26th to finalize every thing for the year.

It must have more deer than the old paint creek club then if it's good. I hunted it hard for a year and saw maybe 20 deer one guy hunted a good bit and I don't think he saw maybe a couple.

If it's what used to be the Paint Creek hunting club, I will tell you this: That was the only club I was ever in where all the long-time members, including the President, raced to the WMA whenever it was having a hunt. I always thought that was strange.

That President and crew are no longer members. Most of the members are from Madison and Morgan County with a few locals that keep an eye on the place.

Paint creek is no more it is under a new name. Clay creek was beside us on one side but never heard much about it. They kill some nice deer off gold branch which is right up the road. I let a good buck slip by me on a hunt I went on with a friend.

I was in Paint Creek years ago. I was only in it for 1 year. Worst club ever. They shot everything that moved. Came in from a hunt one morning to see a deer with spots hanging up that the VP had killed. One guy had a habit of firing up a joint then going out hunting. I saw 0 deer the year I was in it. They had a guy killed a few years ago when his camper caught on fire and he was too drunk to get out.

I went across County Road 55 to Southeastern Hunting Club and stayed in it for 5 years. It was a very good club. I killed several nice bucks off that club.

I was in Paint Creek the year the guy died in his camper. You're right. Worst club I was ever in. I was "one and done". I really felt sorry for the guy running it. I forget his name. He was really fed up. I believe every thing was in his name and he couldn't get people to pay. You could pretty much see the writing on the wall.
