It's a scam, the next step is that the cashiers chech will include shipping costs, then it will be for a little more than the total and you can keep half of it if you'll simply send him the other half, if none of that works for you just send your bank info & they'll wire transfer the funds, then it starts over again.... It's all about you providing info or cash.

Scam Scam Scam. Don't take a Cashiers check plus he wanted your home address not good, they might be thinking of taking more than your boat. Tell him You will meet him in front of your police station with the boat and he needs to have the cash.

I'm having a flashback..... Don't do it. I got duped last fall on gun website (Armslist.com). Learned my lesson. Face to face is how I will do things from now on. I wanted that gun so bad I let my emotions override my good common sense. That won't happen again. If it seems even the slightest bit sketchy, it definitely is.

I have a little boat on C/L for sale, first time ever putting anything on there. Had some interest from a few people but no one has came through. I got an email from a guy and he asked my final price and I replied to him and he sent the reply below after that. Do you think it's a scam. I'm not too sure about it.

stated so I would like to send payment asap. Please let me know if a
certified cashiers check is ok. After my check clears my Mover will
come and pick it up at your location. I would have come and taken a
look of it but I can't. (on a business trip ). If you can get back to
me with your info. I'll mail the check out asap. Need your full name
and address and your telephone number to mail the check out asap.
Thank you. If this person wont speak to you on the phone and meet in person its a scam.
