I rounded up another spot that has been good to me in the past. Kinda excited about this property.

Got access on a local property today that I got permission to hunt last year, 3 days before the end of season. I'm not sure how many birds it holds but I'll soon find out. I hunted it the last two mornings last year and heard birds both mornings. It's behind a locked gate, a long way from a house or paved road, and hasn't ever been legally hunted so I'm hopeful. I plan to go listen in the morning.

I got some acess to some property over your way, but never set foot on it. Its not very big, but suppose to have birds. I hate to drive that far and not have a back up plan if it doesnt pan out. Suppose to go one morning over there this year and take a family member. Guess I will find out.

Where you hunt in Greene County Buck? I hunted in Benevola for years. Good amount of birds down there, but not like where I'm hunting now.

Im loaded up n ready to go fellas. Old man will be here at 5 & we'll be in the woods by 6. He's 74 & I hope he can go forever. Old goat can still run n gun, he just cant hear! grin

Hope I'm in that kinda shape at 74. We've never got a double on opening day, sho hope it happens in the morning.

I aint sold on this weather. Temps gonna be good, but its already cloudy here & sprinkled a couple times.

Good luck yall. thumbup

Well we got all screwed up this morning.Ended up in what would prolly been my 3rd pic of spots but it turned out good. If I wasn't so heard headed Ida kilt a goodun.

All kinda birds gobblin, had a good one hammerin and told dad where he was goin. I stopped one ridge short to try to cut him off and he walked right on down the valley and up onto the knob I told dad he was going to. Just sat there aand gobbled for 2 hours. He's 75 yards from me but Im on one ridge and he's on another.

Betya he don't go back to that knob too many more times before I take him for a ride in the truck.

No kill, but a good time. Hope yall scored.

Heard a few this morning but nothing close to work with. Didn't hear much once they hit the ground.

Moved to another area about 10 and see some birds in a field. I let them leave and set up in there. Nothing.

That field is eat up with sign. I will be back.

Same here. I took the day off today but will be back at them tomorrow morning. I'm torn on staying on a small property close to home or driving up to hunt a friends club in Jackson County. I'll be somewhere though.

Yes it does, I slept in this morning and me and BC headed to the club. Be hunting the next few days.

Heard some hens cutting and cackling may try to go in there and check them out.
