I'll be hunting Tuesday morning, all day Thursday, and probably all day on Friday too. Hope to at least take one doe during this time, and maybe get lucky any have an old, blind buck walk by too.

We are officially on the board! Thanks to the Lord I managed to take a nice fat doe this morning out on Skyline (see my thread in the bow talk forum). I'll be back in the stand again Thursday morning - hopefully a nice buck will walk by. Thursday and Friday will be out on Redstone Arsenal for me.

Good luck guys, and let's hammer some deer this week! grin

Tomorrow morning I'll be hunting a standing corn field that won't be harvested by the farmer. I'll try to post tomorrow in the LFTT thread in the bow section, but I'm not certain I'll have cell service. Maybe so. Wish me luck fellers!

Well I was once again just a few steps away from taking another doe, but it didn't come together. Just like last Friday.

Tomorrow I'll be back in the same place I was in last Friday morning where I walked in and found three deer waiting for me at my tree. Hopefully I can get there before them this time. grin

My hunt this evening was uneventful, except when i climbed down and got blowed at before I even got out of the stand and on the ground. Never saw what blew at me either. Dang deer.

Same here Turkey_neck. I got a doe on opening day, but since then I've been 2-3 steps short of an opening, walked in on deer already at my tree, didn't see anything, and on and on. Maybe things will change this Friday or Saturday.

I drew blood but couldn't bring myself to post pics. FYI deer appear bigger than they are right at dark at 5 yds.

Oh hell... Well just remember that back straps are back straps and they'll eat well. You probably won't be the last to kill a little one.
