They are the only critter besides man that can carry Leprocy. We killed and ate a bunch of 'em in the Texas Hill Country back about 1978. I love killing them suckers with a suppressed .22

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

They do.

We were camping beside the Alabama River one nite, finishing dinner in our lawn chairs, and the most God-Awful racket in the world starts coming down the riverbank at us, we grabbed lights & see what had to be dozens of them all running like a stampede, running along the river. The light seemed to blind them a little, some jumped in the river & we started kicking, stomping & whacking for all we were worth.

Don't ever kick an armadillo if you are wearing flip-flops, ask my cousin.

My ex boss use to take some of our Mexicans to the club to work. He would shoot them and they would throw it in the truck and take it home that night and eat them. You have to remember this is August and September and they weren't put on ice. Makes me gag just thinking about it.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I had 30 acres planted in pines on my place 6 years ago. A crew of Mexicans came and planted them.

They kicked up two dillos while going through the cutover planting the trees. Every single one of them stopped planting and chased the critters down & caught them.

They went & put them in the van with all the trees and the crew foreman told me that they would kill & eat them for supper that night.

I almost got sick just hearing him tell about them eating those nasty thangs.

I've hunted all over Florida Georgia and Alabama and see them everywhere. So I just thought they were common. Didn't know the were invaders. Anyways here's one I removed from my garden a couple weeks ago.

Ill try anything once.

I did see a baby one this past spring. it was about 6" long without the tail. I tried to catch it to show my daughters but to no avail. They are just as fast as the adult ones and jump as high FYI.

Probably should have. Just saw him on my way home and that lil feller is all over the road. Been run over several hundred times.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I USED to shoot them, but then I read that they dig up yellow Jacket nest and eat the larvae. I hate yeller jackets way more than I hate Armadillos.

Wiley how did they taste? The guys I work with swear the meat is not just edible but good. If you think about what they eat (grubs, insects, larvae and such) it should be fairly good. Not like a possum feasting on a dead bull or anything...
