You really should read the law before you get into a debate about it.

Here, I'll help you out:

Code of Alabama 1975
Quote:
Section 9-11-235.1
Taking, etc., raccoons or opossums at night; weapons used.

Raccoons or opossums may be legally hunted and taken at night by catching or killing with the use of dogs, a light and a 22-calibre rimfire rifle or pistol using any type 22-calibre rimfire ammunition or a shotgun using No. 6 shot or smaller size shot.

(Acts 1979, No. 79-697, p. 1241, § 1; Acts 1983, 2nd Ex. Sess., No. 83-197, p. 369, § 1.)

ofwolfandman,

Quote:
The Constitution of Alabama is chock full of laws that are either superseded or totally Unenforced. Inter-racial marriage was against the Alabama Constitution until about 15 to 16 years ago. It was unenforced. You and 49er apparently believe that if a white and black wanted to marry back in, get this, 1998, the clerk issuing the marriage license should be hog tied for violating the Constitution of Alabama???

Hence my comment about under education. The law as written and the law enforced are not always in unison.

Alabama's game laws make us look like the Wild West compared to other states.

Be grateful and enjoy, or wallow in misery with 49er... Don't make a damn to me how you waste your time on Earth. C'est la vie... C'east la mort...

For someone who isn't interested, you've sure had a lot to say, but not much of what you have said has been on the subject.

Have I made any accusations that aren't true? If I have, then point them out for us.

Otherwise, please move on and allow this discussion to get back on track.

Lets not be honest. The way this really goes is you ride around in the dark with a bunch of your buddies trying to find a gator with a spot light. When you find one, you then attempt to snag it with a rod and reel. Then, you attempt to get said gator to the side of the boat, then attempt to get a noose around said gator's head. And that is when all hell really beaks loose.......

Can we not just all get along and agree that this is the equivalent of Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket for rednecks?

Wouldn't it be even more fun if it was all done within the law?

Couldn't you just as well argue that people who rant about other people who poach deer at night are just trying to suck the fun out of it?
