Spinning gear with 4" gold Rapala or Shyster spinners. Watermelon worms work good too. Largemouths, Spotted, and Redeye Bass...
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I've floated Bass Pro to Centreville....
word on the Cahaba...do not under any circumstances try to float the river when rain runoff has it way up. It can be a very dangerous river.

had success in the past catching and floating helgamites over the shoals down towards centreville. you'll catch everything with them including bass.

I like throwing a weighted lizard (pumpkin seed or watermelon). Fish it in the swift water and when it hits the slack water hold on.
ROLL TIDE !!!

Before or after the rain? I am a rookie with good equipment and desire to keep it with me and not see it float down river without me and or stuck on the side of the river calling 911 If you need a tag along let me know!
