I just obtained a 40 acre trce about 7 miles or so from tophat BBQ to hunt by myself and I was just wondering when the rut came in close to the.I have a hunting club in perry co and will be going there very little but would like to know the proper times.I live in bham so it is fairly close

Rut is the same around new years day through the 10th in the places I hunt in north perry co and in blount co may be different where u are

Come out of tophat take a left and go a few miles and take a right and immediately go over the railroad tracts

I watched a small rack buck freshen up a scrape during Christmas break on my parents land in Smokerise. No chasing noticed, but the scrapes were very active. Hope this helps.

i know exactly where you are talking about. on the side of the tracks closer to the top hat, the peak of the rut is on december 27th at 3:54 pm but on the other side of the tracks it is february 5th at 10:27 am. laugh
