I thought Tony Young at Alexandria was going to be another Herschel but he never developed either.
Mac had a tough time fighting meningitis and I forgot what it was that put him in a coma his junior or senior year. Grades eventually did him in though. Damn shame, he was a great high school player.
I'd say Henry was already a few steps ahead of Mac and others as far as making it to the next level. I can't guarantee that he'll be great but he's at least made it to suit up and get meaningful time at the backup position on the defending National Champions.

Wasn't Mac Campbell about 5'8", and a buck-sixty or so? Seems I remember him being pretty small. Don't remember him getting very many big-time D1 looks, and I want to say it was due to his size.

He was about 5'9" and 180-190 but he didn't get D1 looks because of his grades. I think he signed with UAB but that was about it. I'm not sure if he even passed the graduation exam.

I remember Campbell. We lost to Alexandria in the playoffs in 94 or 95. I don't remember him very big but he was fast.

So being the all time leading rusher in high school guarantees you will be great in college. Ever heard of Mac Campbell from Alexandria. He was a bust top 5 all time leading rusher in high school. I doubt that's the case here but it's possible Nobody ever said it would translate to anything. Even Mac Einstein Campbell is smart enough to realize the potential there.
