Well I had 4 hammering on the roost and they had hens with em or really close. Me and the lead hen got in an argument and I called her everything I could think of but she didn't want none and took the boys with her. I messeduo by not going closer to em I think. I stayed on the edge of a field thinking they were coming down there.

I had 2 hammering on the roost this morning that had hens with them, and as soon as they hit the ground the hens took them the other way.

Well I blew it this morning. Got lucky and was sitting between 3 and their hens. Once they hit the ground they shut up. I did the ole belly crawl to get in range and hit him low at 45. He flew over to private landso I couldn't see how hard he was hit. I'm sitting on a field now licking my wounds.

I went this morning before work and tried to get on the birds from yesterday morning and they didn't say a word. The only ones I heard were on the neighbors property.

Well my birds had lock jaw today. Only heard one gobble about 4 times. Won't be able to go til next weekend.

Went Sunday morning and had 4 gobblers hammering away on the roost. Had my grandfather with me and things didn't work out as I had planned. Long story short.....we got busted Regardless, it was great hunting with my grandfather. I'm going to give them a try again on Sat morning.

AMEN to that. My dad nor my grandpaw hunted. My dad was with me when I killed my first deer. He has never killed a deer or turkey and Ive begged him to go with me. He just doesn't want to. I would love to have a dad like some of you have.

Slow opener for me. Heard one Fri morning, but then they put zip-ties around beaks and I haven't heard a peep since Fri. I'll get after them again this weekend. I already have an axe to grind with that bird I heard last Fri. Should have killed him, but things just didn't work out.
