Speaking of solar panels, has anyone ever installed one on their shooting house to charge a cell phone or power a small light? I've been thinking about doing this. Reason being, I work in sales which allows me time to hunt during the week BUT.... I am constantly having to send and receive emails and over the course of a long sit it drains my cell battery. Just curious what the cheapest setup would be. An easier and cheaper way to do this, would be to get a small 12v battery. connect charger to it with aligator clips, and lighter adaptor.

As far as the plans. I like to build mine 5' deep by 6' wide. This gives me plenty of room for two people and the assortment of gear I think I have to have when I go hunting. We use a plastic track from home depot (designed for screened in porches) for the windows. It has two tracks and we add plexi or lexan for windows and they slide with minimal noise. We also put a 6" wide bench across the front and throw an old cushion or sandbag up there for long shots. Lastly we add a small propane heater (portable kind). It allows me to sit in the house in a tshirt on the coldest days and a place to warn my biscuit. LOL The problem I have with a shooting house bigger than 4x6 is that you end up using more than 1 sheet of plywood for the short sides, and that stuff is expensive...
