Just went to WalMart @ Airport, WalMart @ Tillman's Corner, and Academy @ Airport and NONE had any 22lr except for shot shells. There was a single lone box of Tula 223 at one Wallyworld, so I let it go home with me for a whopping $4.97. There were two boxes of some Winchester super duper varmint 223 at Academy for $26.99/box. Academy also had some "Bulk" 9mm in plastic ammo cans listed at $99/350rds. Had some Tula 9mm FMJ at $199/900rds. That's it. Quite a bit of rifle ammo, but very little pistol ammo anywhere.

I've been stocking up for a couple years now, but I would feel comfortable if I could source enough to reach my goal amount by end of January. I'm not paying stupid prices to do it though!

Natchez is out. Target sports is no longer taking ANY orders, either online or via phone. They are just now able to process and ship orders they received Dec 19-21. Others are in the same situation. I've heard of the big box stores getting small batches here and there, but the stories also include 10-20 people standing at the door waiting for them to open to buy up what they get.

August was a very good month

I was at the Academy at the Festival Center this morning and they had probably 12 of the plastic ammo cans with 150 rds of Hornady 55gr HP for $90. They also had a pile of Winchester 45gr 5.56 frangible. No .22LR there. They also HAD a few PMags ($15/each) that somehow managed to catch a ride home with me.

Went to the new Academy out in WeMo and they had probably 20 boxes of the CCI "Swamp People" .22LR and probably 50 boxes of 50 rds of the Winchester Wildcat .22LR. They also had around 25 boxes of American Eagle 55gr 5.56 tracers.

Saraland WalMart had no .223 or .22

I take the kids to school on my off days and stop by the Festival Center Academy each morning, just to see what they have.

Where is Stone Arms located? I have been meaning ride out and check their store out.

Just an FYI for those in the Mobile/Baldwin county area...there is a gun show this weekend at the Abba Shrine on Schillinger and Hitt Rd. I'm fairly certain there won't be any "deals" to be had, but there should be some hard to get parts if you absolutely need some.

I might drive out that way and take a look-see.

Its not a big place at all but his prices on guns (when he had some) were good. I havent been in in a couple weeks so not sure what he has.

I went into a Dick's last week just to see what things looked like. No 35 Whelen, but plenty of 270 and 22lr.

5.56 40gr Frangible shows to be in stock at PSA ($11.99/20 rds which is the same price at Academy)

I know where some .22LR is/was. Their price is a little high on a good day, but they are off the beaten path.

Also, Village Sports in Butler had plenty of .22LR. They told a friend of mine they had more .22LR than their distributer...

Sounds like y'all have more down there than we do up here. But, I don't have an academy anywhere within 30 minutes either. Just one Walmart. Every time I check vans only has hunting rounds.

A week ago today the Walmarts in DeLand FL, Tifton GA and Eufaula AL were all out of 308.

Plenty of 30-06, 270, 243 and 300mag but no 308.
