As bad as I hate it I'm thinking about going with it.

I've got the Wi-Fi Verizon service at home now, but it's on 3g more than 4g nowadays (I'm not certain what's changed but it's just too slow for the $ we are paying.

The speeds we are getting are generally slower than 1g when on 3g. 4g is very fast, but it's flaky. On top of that the A/C port on it broke last night so it's useless now.

Thus, I'm looking at Wild Blue. Reviews? Anyone have it?

I don't have personal experience with it, but I have heard some very good things about it. Had a guy tell me it was faster than anything he had ever had.

I can't find many good reviews for it.

Would love to hear some opinions on this as well. Verizon service sucks.

Yea they have upgraded their hardware. My daughter can't get any internet where she lives. Might be worth looking into now. Maybe somebody on here has it now.

Don't know of they exist....I'm sure they do....but what about an external outside antenna booster for the Verizon? If you get spotty 4g inside, how is the signal outside? Maybe an external booster could keep you locked into the 4g signal.

I'm fortunate to always have a strong 4g signal in my house.

Edit: they do exist. Plenty more than this found thru google.

After having super slow dial up for years we had Wildblue for several years. I liked it, but that was the only choice we had till Century Link offered cable.

I have had Wild Blue for oh six or eight years now. Only big problem is when it gets really cloudy it goes out. Daughter just five hundred yards from me has Hughs Net and she is happy with it. Glad I got on this because I was thinking about going with Verizon just for a change. But not now. Will keep wild blue.

My sister in law had it for a while. Back in March while staying with her we found that it was pitifully slow. I had a 9600 baud modem that was faster. I hope they upgraded something otherwise you might as well just throw your folding money into a hurricane.

I had wild blue but gave them the boot. Their speeds are never what they advertise.
