Dang, and I won't take a shot at a deer unless it's at a high percentage angle and this guy shoots at movement?!?!? Jeezzz!!! Does Florida have mandatory hunter safety courses? What a DA! Yes, but you can get a license 1 time without the hunters education course as long as you are accompanied by an adult. You have to have hunters safety once you turn 16 to get a licenses, but he must have been sleeping in the class.

I hunted Blackwater one time while living in Pensacola for 20 years, that was enough for me. I considered hunting it a time or 2 when my MIL lived on 30A there close Greyton Beach, looked like lots of hunters from vehicles working it over

I hunted Blackwater one time while living in Pensacola for 20 years, that was enough for me. I considered hunting it a time or 2 when my MIL lived on 30A there close Greyton Beach, looked like lots of hunters from vehicles working it over You would be amazed at how many hunters are there on a given Sat/Sun. Hundreds. By the time the season is out in mid Feb., the deer know each hunter by smell and if they could reason like humans, they'd give them names.

I can't ever remember seeing any deer in my neck of the woods sporting the latest mossy oak pattern.... they must be hunting farmed deer to mistake them for hunters

Around here that is what Blackwater WMA is known for,everyone there has the brown it's down mentality. Archery is the only time they can shoot does in there so they dont feel the need to "verify" what they are shooting buck or doe wise. I hunted there once and that was enough for me.
I also heard the man who was shot was bent over trying to attach his climber to the tree when he was shot. How did the 16yo not see the guy walk in with a climber 30 yards from him? Sounds to me that he did see him walk in with the stand and was pissed because the guy messed his hunt up. Using the excuse that he mistaked the man for a deer was just as i previously stated "excuse". This kid needs to be tried for MURDER!!!!
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

I remember that, I grew up with his sister, Misty, that was a bad deal Yes it was..how do you mistake a guy on a3 wheeler in a clearing..with a glittery helmet on for a deer? It was.never a accident. He rode up on a murder scene or a bad deal, man its a small world

Heck where I grew up in VA, a guy caught one of his buddies screwing his wife. 2 days later he rolled his arse out of his tree stand with a .300 win mag...
Was ruled a hunting accident, no charges filed I would have rolled his ass off my wife and then rolled her ass too Yyeeepppp!! First 9 shots fired at the busy intersection. Reload, sit on the edge of the bed and make a phone call(kinda like in slingblade), and next clip at center of mass.
